The Redford Jaycees are just one local chapter which is part of the larger State of Michigan Jaycees. The Michigan Jaycees are part of the U.S. Jaycees, who ultimately belong to the worldwide organization, JCI, or JC International. Vision of the Local Chapter To become the organization of choice for young people, providing direction and leadership to our communities and the nation. Mission of the Local Chapter To provide young people the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills through local community service and organizational involvement while expanding the Jaycees movement. Redford Jaycees History We were first incorporated in 1955 and have a rich long-standing presence in the community. The haunted house is probably the most notable memory for the Redford chapter, but the loss of our old building put an end to the haunted house (at least for now). We have a brand new hall, located just across the street from the original location. We took over the former American Legion hall and have begun creating new memories and traditions in a building with its own legacy passed down from the American Legion. Our hall is now available for rentals so we are able to serve the local community with a new service as well as sustain the building for chapter and community use.
